Can dogs eat corn?

Why
Corn is non-toxic and provides some fiber and nutrients, but it is often a filler ingredient with low nutritional value compared to meat. The hard kernels can be difficult for some dogs to digest and may cause stomach upset if eaten in large quantities.
If you do feed it
- Serve only plain, cooked kernels without butter, salt, or seasonings.
- Limit corn to less than 10% of your dog's daily calorie intake.
- Mash or chop kernels for smaller dogs to prevent choking.
- Avoid corn on the cob entirely as the cob is a choking hazard and can cause intestinal blockages.
