If you do feed it

• Cut carrots into small, bite-sized pieces or sticks to prevent choking hazards.
• Serve raw, steamed, or boiled without any added salt, butter, oils, or seasonings.
• Limit treats to no more than 10% of your dog's daily calorie intake.
• Monitor your dog while eating, especially if they tend to gulp food without chewing.

Watch out for

• Whole baby carrots or large chunks that can cause choking
• Sweetened, pickled, or seasoned carrot products
• Carrot tops which may cause mild stomach upset in large amounts
