• Wash the berries thoroughly to remove pesticides and dirt before feeding.
• Cut large berries into smaller pieces to prevent choking and make them easier to eat.
• Limit treats to no more than 10% of the chicken's total daily food intake.
• Remove any moldy or rotten parts before offering the fruit to the flock.

Watch out for

• Sweetened or candied strawberries which contain harmful added sugars
• Moldy or spoiled berries that can cause illness
