Can chickens eat salty food?

Why

Avoid. Chickens tolerate very little salt, and salty scraps cause problems fast. Chickens have a very low tolerance for salt, and even small amounts of salty scraps can cause problems quickly. Excess salt leads to dehydration, kidney strain, and can be fatal if not addressed immediately.
