Can chickens eat mango?

Why

The flesh of the mango is nutritious and safe for chickens to eat, but the large seed poses a choking hazard and the skin can be difficult to digest. Additionally, the high sugar content means it should only be offered occasionally to prevent digestive upset.

If you do feed it

Remove the large, hard pit completely to prevent choking.
Peel the skin before serving as it is tough and may cause digestive issues.
Cut the fruit into small, bite-sized pieces suitable for a chicken.
Limit treats to no more than 10% of their daily diet.
