• Cut the flesh into small, bite-sized chunks to prevent choking.
• Limit treats to no more than 10% of their daily diet to avoid digestive upset.
• Remove any spoiled or moldy portions before feeding.
• Offer fresh fruit and remove uneaten portions after a few hours to prevent spoilage.

Watch out for

• sweetened or canned versions with added sugar or syrup
• moldy or rotting fruit
• large whole pieces that could cause choking
