Watermelon is non-toxic to cats and provides hydration, but it offers no nutritional value they need and contains natural sugars that can upset their stomachs. The seeds and rind pose choking hazards or intestinal blockages, so they must be completely removed before offering any piece to your pet.

• Remove all seeds and the green rind before serving only the red flesh.
• Limit portions to a few small cubes (less than a tablespoon) to avoid digestive upset.
• Offer only fresh, plain watermelon without added sugar, salt, or flavorings.
