Why

Turkey is a lean protein source that dogs can digest well, but it must be prepared simply to avoid stomach upset. The meat should be fully cooked and free of any bones, which can splinter and cause internal injury.

If you do feed it

• Serve only plain, cooked turkey without skin, fat, or seasoning like garlic and onion powder.
• Remove all bones completely before offering any pieces to your dog.
• Limit treats to no more than 10% of your dog's daily calorie intake.
• Cut the meat into small, bite-sized pieces to prevent choking.
