Can dogs eat pistachios?

Why
The high fat content can lead to pancreatitis or an upset stomach, and the shells pose a serious choking or intestinal blockage hazard. Additionally, salted or flavored pistachios can cause sodium poisoning or other health issues.
If you do feed it
- Serve only unsalted, raw or dry-roasted pistachios without any shells.
- Limit to one or two shelled nuts for small dogs and a few for larger dogs.
- Always supervise your dog while they eat them to prevent choking.
- Introduce slowly to check for any digestive upset.
