Can dogs eat pineapple?

Why
Pineapple is non-toxic and offers vitamins, but its high sugar content means it should only be an occasional treat. The tough outer skin and central core are difficult to digest and can cause choking or intestinal blockages.
If you do feed it
- Remove the tough outer skin and the hard central core completely before serving.
- Cut the flesh into small, bite-sized chunks to prevent choking.
- Limit treats to a few small pieces occasionally, as too much sugar can upset their stomach.
- Only offer fresh or frozen pineapple without added sugars or syrups.
