Can dogs eat peaches?

Why

The flesh of the peach is non-toxic and provides vitamins, but the hard pit can cause intestinal blockages and contains trace amounts of cyanide. Additionally, the skin can be difficult for some dogs to digest, and sweetened or canned versions often contain harmful additives.

If you do feed it

• Remove the pit and stem completely before offering any fruit.
• Limit treats to a few small slices of fresh flesh only.
• Introduce slowly to check for stomach upset or allergies.
• Avoid canned peaches or those with added sugar or syrup.
