Why
Toxic to dogs. Even small amounts can cause kidney failure. Even a single grape can trigger severe kidney damage in some dogs, and the exact toxic amount varies unpredictably from one dog to another. There is no known safe threshold, and symptoms may not appear immediately after ingestion.
Watch out for
- raisins, sultanas, and currants
- grape seeds and skins
- grape juice and wine
- baked goods containing grapes
